Man killed in Loranger traffic accident

LORANGER, La. (AP) - State police say a 24-year-old man was killed in a traffic accident on La. Highway 1062 in Loranger.
Investigators say Rowdy Dunnington, of Loranger, was northbound when his car crossed the center line and collided with a pickup driven 56-year-old Jerry Schellhaas, also of Loranger.
The Tangipahoa Parish Coroner's Office pronounced Dunnington, who was not wearing a seat belt, dead at the scene Friday night.
Schellhaas, who was using his seat belt, was not injured.
