Man killed in Beauregard Parish crash

DERIDDER, La. (AP) - State police are investigating a single vehicle crash in Beauregard Parish that claimed the life of a 45-year-old DeRidder man.
The accident happened Tuesday night on Pleasant Hill Road about a mile west of U.S. Highway 171.
Sgt. James Anderson says a pickup driven by Richard C. West was westbound when his truck ran off the highway, rolled several times and hit a pine tree.
Anderson says West, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
