Man killed by police while serving search warrant

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Police say a 20-year-old man was shot in the chest and killed by an officer who arrived at a New Orleans home with a narcotics search warrant.
New Orleans Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas said the house where the shooting occurred Wednesday night had been under surveillance for several days.
The Times-Picayune reports Serpas did not identify the victim.
Wednesday night's shooting comes less than a week after a New Orleans man was killed and two officers were seriously wounded during an early-morning traffic stop that escalated into a shootout.
