LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - A Lake Charles man who robbed and
severely beat two men last year has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Bryan Keith Pyle received two consecutive 10-year terms for his guilty pleas to two counts of second-degree robbery. He also was ordered Thursday to pay $68,000 in restitution.
In one attack on April 30, 2010, the victim said the 23-year-old Pyle and two other men followed him from a casino parking lot and attacked him in a trailer park. The victim had $100,000 in medical expenses and could
not work for a year.
A prosecutor said the second victim was attacked a few weeks later by Pyle and another man after cashing a check.
