Man Faces False Imprisonment & Rape Charges

Updating a previous arrest, on 9/11/2010 the Abbeville Police Department arrested and charged Cleophus Jackson Jr. with Forcible Rape. Cleophus Jackson Jr. was booked into the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center where his bond was set at $75,000.00.
After further investigation, the victim was interviewed at Hearts of Hope in Lafayette and based on those findings; a warrant was obtained, charging Cleophus Jackson Jr. with False Imprisonment, in addition to his previous charge. The bond on the warrant for False Imprisonment was set at $100,000.00.
Cleophus Jackson Jr. remains incarcerated in the Vermilion Parish Correctional Center on a total bond of $175,000.00
