Man Dies in Franklin Parish Crash

WINNSBORO, La. (AP) - A 20-year-old Winnsboro man was killed
after being ejected from the bed of the truck he was riding in.
State police say the accident happened Sunday northeast of
Winnsboro when the driver lost control of the vehicle in a curve.
Troopers said that the truck ran off the road and
struck a tree.
Investigators said there were three occupants riding in the bed
of the truck at the time of the crash. Joey Anding was ejected and
was pronounced dead at the scene by the Franklin Parish Coroner's
Office. The other passengers received minor injuries.
Troopers say the driver of the truck, 29-year-old James
Valentine from Winnsboro, received minor and was issued a citation
for careless operation.
