NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The coroner's investigator says the man whose decomposing body was found tangled in a cable beneath a warehouse skylight died after a 30-foot fall as he tried to break into the building.
John Gagliano of the Orleans Parish Coroner's Office says that 63-year-old Alfredo Saba had been dead about a
week when he was found in the warehouse Oct. 22. An autopsy
performed later determined that he died from massive internal and head injuries.
Neighbors who believed Saba was the person found in the
warehouse - located next to his house - gave his name to
investigators. The coroner's office used the information to obtain Saba's medical records and confirm his identity.
