GRETNA, La. (AP) - A 43-year-old Metairie man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for lying to get a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend, then selling her belongings.
Judge Donald Fendlason sentenced Vincent Castillo on Friday in Gretna
Castillo was convicted in February of simple burglary for two garage sales he held in December 2011 at the woman's home. She called Jefferson Parish deputies, but they told her to leave because of the restraining order.
During his trial, prosecutors presented evidence that Castillo lied to get that order.
