TANGIPAHOA, La. (AP) - Authorities say a Tangipahoa man has been
arrested on charges he pointed an assault rifle at people inside a
night club because he was upset about getting bad service.
The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office says deputies saw
23-year-old Perdo Varnado enter the club with the gun and followed
him inside, where they saw him point the weapon at a crowd of
people.
A bouncer tackled Varnado before he was disarmed.
The sheriff's office says Varnado threatened an employee of the
club before he left and returned with the firearm.
He was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and
illegal possession of a firearm.
