Man Booked In Lake Charles Shooting Death

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Lake Charles police say a 23-year-old Mamou man has been booked with second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of a 32-year-old man.
The American Press reports Detective Franklin Fondel arrested Ceaser James Williams on Tuesday in the death of Corey Demond Thomas of Westlake.
According to police, officers responded to a call at 11:30 p.m. where they found two men who had been shot near an apartment complex.
Both victims were sent to Lake Charles Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Thomas was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second victim was treated and released.
