BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 24-year-old Baton Rouge man accused of shooting and killing another man on April 9 has been arrested.
The Advocate reports Raymond Robins was booked Sunday by Baton Rouge police with second-degree murder.
According to an arrest warrant, Robins is accused in the death of 23-year-old Quention Pollard.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said the shooting of Pollard occurred after two shopkeepers, ages 21 and 27, saw a man, who they believed had previously stolen goods from their store, standing with several other men.
McKneely says a discussion took place after which the two shopkeepers got into their car to leave. But as the shopkeepers were leaving, someone in the group shot at them, and the shopkeepers returned fire.
Pollard was struck in the head during the exchange of gunfire.
