Man arrested on child porn counts

HAMMOND, La. (AP) - Tangipahoa Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested a 60-year-old man accused of possessing child pornography.
Deputies booked Richard James Braud of Hammond Monday with pornography involving juveniles, the Sheriff's Office reported.
After serving a search warrant, The Advocate reports detectives found thousands of pictures and videos of children being sexually assaulted.
Deputies say some of the images appeared to involve children around the age of 6.
It was not immediately clear whether Braud has an attorney.
