Man arrested in roommate's killing

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police have arrested a 32-year-old man they say shot and killed his roommate during a fight.

Detectives say Lonnie Charles Johnson Jr. allegedly shot his roommate, 57-year-old Bobby Rowe, in the upper torso while the two were fighting at their home Thursday morning.

Cpl. Tommy Stubbs tells The Advocate Rowe was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

Johnson was booked into Parish Prison on counts of second-degree murder and convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
