BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - State police have arrested a 30-year-old Greenwell Springs man after they found he had illegal drugs in his system when he crashed his truck head-on into a car and killed the driver.
Matthew Harding was booked Thursday with vehicular homicide, third-offense DWI, reckless operation, driving left of center, aggravated obstruction of a highway and no seat belt.
Troopers say 48-year-old Nancy Pierce of Clinton was killed in the July 11 fatal crash which occurred on Liberty Road near La. highway 64.
Harding was not injured.
Troopers got a warrant for Harding's arrest after a toxicology analysis of Harding's blood was conducted at the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.
It was not immediately known whether Harding has an attorney.
