Man arrested in Christmas Day stabbing

St. Landry Parish deputies arrested a man who was wanted for stabbing someone during a fight on Christmas Day. Shelton Guillory, III is accused of stabbing a man in the forearm, bicep, ear and shoulder during a fight near Slim's Y-Ki-Ki Club on Hwy. 182 in Opelousas. "After interviewing the victim and multiple witnesses, it was learned that the victim had a verbal argument with Guillory before the nightclub closed. As the victim proceeded to his vehicle at the end of the night, he was approached by Guillory and several others. At this time, Guillory pulled out a knife and cut him several times," Captain Megan Vizena said.
Guillory is in the St. Landry Parish Jail and will appear in court on December 28.
