Man Arrested for Eunice Shooting

A man has been arrested with a murder that happened in Eunice early Saturday morning. Robert Lee Heard has been taken into custody by Shreveport Police Department. Eunice Police will travel to Shreveport today for transfer back to Eunice to face 1st degree murder charges.
Heard was on the run for about 12 hours last night before he was caught this morning in Shreveport. He is charged with the murder of his wife, Demetra Doyle Heard.
Police say the murder happened at 111 Prairie Street in Eunice.
