Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing GPS from Car

An Abbeville man is in jail for allegedly stealing a GPS from a car. Investigators say Cuong Nguyen was pulled over on his bike Monday night for not having headlights. Officers say when they searched Nguyen, they found the device and its extension cord. Investigators say they used an address in the machine to find its owner. Police say the victim's car was unlocked, allowing Nguyen to get in without breaking into the vehicle. Nguyen is charged with simple burglary and possession of burglary tools. He is being held on $15,000 bond.
