Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Abuse of a Juvenile

(St. Martinville, La.)-On September 3, 2010, an investigation was initiated in reference to a report of alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile female for incidents that occurred from July 2010-September of 2010. Through the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified as Jerome Thomas, 53, Parks, and a Warrant of Arrest was obtained for the following offenses:
La.R.S. 14:42 Aggravated Rape
La.R.S. 14:81.2 (3cts.) Molestation of a Juvenile
He was arrested on September 3, 2010, and was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charges. His bond has been set at $750,000.00 for the Aggravated Rape Offense and $250,000.00 bond for the the Molestation of a Juvenile Offense.
