A Pine Prairie man could face charges pending forensic analysis of his phone. Investigators believe Raymond Bailey's phone may have evidence of inappropriate conduct involving juveniles, according to Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Chief Investigator Shawn Eckhart.
On May 25, Bailey is accused of trying to pick up two girls, ages 10 and 12, but an adult stopped him and took his keys, said Eckhart. "Deputies were told that the juveniles were talking to the Bailey via Facebook and text messages. Deputies also located alcohol and cigarettes in Bailey's vehicle, which the juveniles admitted to asking Bailey to purchase for them." Bailey was charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, two counts of simple kidnapping and two counts of purchase of alcohol on behalf of persons under the age of 21.
