BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Police say a former employee of C&C Pumping Services in Biloxi has been accused of taking more than 3,000 gallons of diesel fuel from the company over a one-year period.
Lt. Bobby Darden tells The Sun Herald that Charles Bryan Whitecotton of Gray, La., turned himself in Saturday.
Darden says the loss is valued at more than $10,000.
The 46-year-old Whitecotton was booked at the Harrison County jail and released on $10,000 bond.
The maximum penalty for conviction of embezzling is 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
It was not immediately known whether Whitecotton has an
attorney.
