A Lafayette man is charged with false imprisonment and aggravated assault after he allegedly held his girlfriend inside their home at gunpoint.
Police say 26-year-old Richard Arceneaux turned himself in this morning to authorities in Patterson.
The incident took place Monday around 2:40 P. M. in the 100 block of Hansel Drive. Investigators say Arceneaux choked the victim until she became unconscious and threatened her life with the gun. The victim suffered minor injuries.
