Man accused of brandishing gun at school bus stop

A Scott man was arrested after police say he brandished a handgun at a school bus stop yesterday. Robert Rowe III, 35, is charged with 10 counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. Rowe had a seizure near the bus stop, which is at the entrance of Audubon Acres Trailer Park at 1112 Lebesque Road, and when he recovered, got into a fight with his wife, threw rocks at his daughter, then pulled out a handgun that was held in his waistline, Scott Police Chief Chad Leger said.

"Mr. Rowe III proceeded to point the weapon at the people waiting at the bus stop, some of which were children exiting the school bus. Mr. Rowe III and his family made their way back to their residence, prior to the officers' arrival," Leger said. Officers arrested Rowe at his home. He faces additional charges, including illegal carrying of a firearm, domestic abuse battery, and aggravated battery .
