A man accused of beating his girlfriend to death in Pointe Coupee Parish will remain behind bars on a $1 million bond.

Authorities say Larry Snyder kidnapped Davina Chapman from a bar near Krotz Springs and killed her.

In court Monday, he was denied a bond-reduction.

Initially, the judge reduced Snyder's bond to $250,000, but prosecutors claimed Snyder is a flight risk.
The bond was then set at $1 million. It will remain at that amount.

Another hearing December 9th.
