Man, 2 Grandchildren Die in House Fire

PIERRE PART, La. (AP) - Authorities say a grandfather and two
grandchildren -- a two-year-old and a four-year-old -- died in an
early morning in a house fire in Pierre Part.
Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack said
that the grandmother was forced to jump from the second floor of
the home and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Waguespack said firefighters were first alerted to the house
fire at 12:48 a.m. Friday.
Waguespack said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The names of the victims have not be released.
