BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Bond has been set at more than $1 million for a Baton Rouge man booked on charges including attempted first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated rape in connection with a series of weekend crimes.
WAFB-TV reports that 19-year-old Andre Young was arrested Sunday.
Police said the crimes began around 4:30 a.m. Sunday when three people are suspected of committing a series of robberies.
One suspect is believed to have forced two women into a car. Police said they were driven to a park and raped. That suspect has also been connected to a later shooting.
Police said Young was arrested after police spotted the shooting victim's vehicle. Young allegedly abandoned the car and later was found hiding under a house. It was unclear if he has an attorney.
