Make-A-Wish Foundation Sends Youngsville Boy to Disneyworld

Hunter Henry looks like any ordinary five year old---but he is far from typical. Hunter was born with only half of his heart working.

His sister, Kacy Henry, said "I'd always wanted a sibling and I got one. Then five days later we found out that he needed to have major heart surgery.

Kacy and Hunter's mother, Laura Henry, said "the doctor pretty much told me the chances of his survival were very bad."

Three open heart surgeries later...Hunter is still going strong.

His mother said, "he's what I call my miracle baby. I'm just grateful that he's here right now, and everyday I'm even more grateful that he's here with us."

The Henry's will soon be taking their first family vacation to Disneyworld. A trip made possible by the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

His mother said she feels, "blessed that they came in our lives to help us out and give us this opportunity to be able to go there. We could not have done it without them."

Kacy explained, "having a brother that's five years-old now and to go on a trip like this with him is something I never thought I was going to be able to do."

Hunter said he can't wait to meet his favorite Disney characters...especially Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse.
