Christmas is over, but holiday shopping is still going on. In fact, analysts are predicting today will be the third busiest shopping day of the year.
Shopper, Tosha Richard, said "it was raining today and there was really nothing else to do, so we figured why not come and walk the mall and see what kind of sales they really do have."
Shoppers are getting some of the best deals this holiday season the day after Christmas with savings up to 70 percent off.
Claire Friedman said, "we usually avoid coming to the mall the day after Christmas, but the sales were just too good to not come."
Many of the stores went into the holiday season with inventory growing three times as fast as sales, so for retailers the day after Christmas is one of their last chances to clear the shelves before the busy shopping season ends.
While many are spending their gift cards, others are returning presents. The extra merchandise is making it easier for shoppers like Victoria Lane to find exactly what they want.
She said, "I exchanged shoes. It was easy they actually held them for me, so it was perfect."
Amanda Key said, "it wasn't difficult we didn't have any problems just yet, so hopefully the rest of the day goes well."
Analysts are predicting 60 percent more people are out shopping today compared this same day last year.
