TALLULAH, La. (AP) - The Madison Parish School System wants to use cameras in the district's classrooms and hallways to monitor teachers and students during standardized testing.
Madison Parish is one of two school districts investigated by the state Department of Education this year for testing irregularities.
The district was flagged for investigation when, during the grading process, the testing vendor noticed too many erasures on tests changing wrong answers to right answers.
The News-Star reports board members learned of the district's plans in a meeting on Monday. The district will now ask the state for its permission to amend the state's testing policy to include electronic monitoring.
