LUS customers may soon see an increase on their utility bills.
This week, the city-parish council will hear the rate hike proposal for the second time. The proposal was denied last month, because council members insisted the proposal lacked a reason for funding.
Director Terry Huval says it's critical LUS make upgrade to its facilities now. He says if a rate hike is not approved this time around, it will mean more money needed down the road.
The rate proposal will be re-introduced to the council tomorrow night.
