BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU officials say a student was
critically injured in an apparent fall from the roof of the
six-story Life Sciences Building on campus.
LSU Police spokesman Blake Tabor said police were notified
around 10:30 a.m. Monday, according to The Advocate newspaper.
Tabor said there were no signs of foul play and police were trying
to determine whether the student had made a suicide attempt.
Tabor told the student newspaper, The Daily Reveille, that the
student was conscious when he was found. He was transported to Our
Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.
Tabor said the student's identity was being withheld until his
family could be notified.
