Low Keeps Weather Unsettled

Weather enthusiasts if there is a new term to take home from this weekend it would be retrograding low.

An area of low pressure has been spinning over Acadiana and has largely been responsible for the handful of showers and thunderstorms we've seen this weekend.

Typically these low pressure systems will move from west to east, but with this particular low it has been the opposite.

The low will move from east to west on Sunday and dragging along with it another afternoon of widely scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Showers have been developing along the eastern and northern quadrant of the low, which will put the shower predominantly north of I-10 and then down the Atchafalaya Basin.

A few thunderstorms will be possible as well, most likely during the afternoon with daytime heating at full strength.

Unsettled weather will remain in the forecast through Monday before becoming more of the typical garden summer showers.
