"Love Lafayette" campaign

A "Love Lafayette" campaign featuring social media networks, blogs and YouTube will highlight all that is great about Lafayette. "From being the best mid-sized city for jobs to most optimistic, experiencing the largest income increase and being named Tastiest Town, Lafayette is the place to be right now," Coldwell Banker Pelican Real Estate COO Steven P. Hebert said.

The real estate company is partnering with the Lafayette Convention & Visitors Commission to show people, including potential residents, what makes Lafayette special. "This is an excellent complement to our marketing efforts to promote Lafayette as a premier destination, and we are pleased to partner with Coldwell Banker Pelican Real Estate on this 'Love Lafayette' campaign," Ben Berthelot, executive director of LCVC said.

According to a Coldwell Banker Pelican Real Estate press release, blogs will count down the Top 10 reasons to live in Lafayette, and a Facebook contest starting on Valentine's Day will ask fans to share why they love living in Lafayette. Prizes for the best reasons will include a gift pack from LCVC and a handmade wooden heart by local artist Kelly Guidry.

Coldwell Banker Pelican will use hashtag #lovelafayette on all of its posts. You can find videos of the real estate company's agents and staff talking about why they love Lafayette on the company's YouTube channel. "There is so much to love about Lafayette, and we look forward to continuing to showcase those things to the rest of the world," said Berthelot.

The campaign will end in in April, which coincides with Festival International de Louisiane's 27th anniversary.
