The field is set for this Saturday's run for the roses and always plenty of Louisiana ties to the Kentucky Derby.
Acadiana Jockeys Calvin Borel will ride Revolutionary and Robby Albarado will ride Golden Soul. New Orleans Jock Rosie Napravnik will mount Mylute.
Twenty horses will line up at Churchill Downs in Kentucky hoping to move forward to the next race, the Preakness Stakes.
Some say this race is the greatest two minutes in sports as the worlds top horses race for a place among legends.

"Everybody picks up a horse and everybody will see it lead up to the derby. When there's a 20 family it adds a lot of mystery too cause when they open the gate anything can happen
Staff say they expect people from all over the U.S. will spend their entire day here watching the derby, while also waiting to watch the eleven races that kick off at 5:40p.m. this Saturday at Evangeline Downs.
