HOUMA, La. (AP) - A Louisiana family is trying to get their
house back in order after a mature deer crashed through a glass
door and wrecked the place.
The rampaging deer terrorized the family for close to a half
hour Friday while trying to get out of the house in Houma. It
smashed belongings, upended furniture and chased a women and child
inside before it was shot and killed by a deputy.
Linda Babin, a 60-year-old employee of the Terrebonne Parish
Sheriff's Office, said she's shocked by the damage and terror the
deer inflicted at her home.
Authorities estimate the deer, a full-grown buck who may have
thought its reflection in the glass was another animal, weighed
about 200 pounds.
