Louisiana DEQ To Make Decision On St. Mary Salt Dome

In St. Mary Parish, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality will host a public hearing next month on a proposal to store natural gas in the Cote Blanche salt dome.

Henry Gas Storage is moving through the permit process necessary to construct four caverns in the dome. Each cavern could hold up to 11.5 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
