Louisiana Associated Press Awards

KATC won more Associated Press awards than any other television station in the state, including more first place awards, for the calendar year ending in December 2011.

The Louisiana Associated Press Broadcasters Association held their annual awards ceremony Saturday on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge.

KATC participated in the Class B category, which included stations from Lafayette, Lake Charles, Alexandria, and Monroe. KATC won 15 awards, including 7 first place awards.
