Lost cell phone leads to pornography arrest

On 02/20/10 the Morgan City PD received a complaint from an individual who found a cell phone on the ground at a local business. This individual stated that he looked through some of the information in an attempt to identify the owner and return it, and upon doing so noticed some inappropriate images of small children nude. The phone was seized and turned over to the Detective Division for further investigation. Detectives obtained a search warrant, and were able to download all the images on the phone which did include young children nude and being Posed for the photographs, and also learned that some images had been transmitted. The owner of the phone, 21-year-old Ciara Williams of Morgan City, came to the Police Department to claim the phone and was interviewed and arrested for pornography involving juveniles. Assistance in this case was provided by St. Mary Sheriff's Office, Louisiana State Police, and ICE Investigators. No bond set yet for Williams.
