Some spring like weather will head for Acadiana later this weekend and stick around most of next week. After a winter of below normal temperatures and a series of winter weather events across the Gulf Coast, finally Acadiana will see normal temperatures by Friday and above normal next week.
Sunshine has returned, but temperatures were below freezing again this morning for the 26th time since November! Normally we'll see about 6-10 freezes. Later today we'll warm up to the mid to upper 50s. Friday through the weekend should be in the 60s, and next week back to the 70s for daytime highs.
Normal high and low this time of year is 65 and 45. January was the 8th coldest on record, and so far February has been running more than seven degrees below normal.
