Wade Lohse may soon be back in Lafayette. According to court officials in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lohse waived extradition Wednesday. Court officials add Lafayette authorities have 30 days from Wednesday to pick up Lohse and return him to Louisiana. According to the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, no date has been set to retrieve Lohse.
Lohse walked out of court on March 25 just before his trial on vehicular homicide charges was scheduled to begin. Lohse was captured on April 16 in Philadelphia and has been in custody there since. Lohse faces those charges in connection with the death last year of Cacie Barras McGrew.
