Wade Lohse has posted a video to YouTube explaining why he ran out of a Lafayette courtroom two weeks ago before his trial. Lohse, who is charged with vehicular homicide in the death of Cacie Barras McGrew, says he was scheduled to stand trial for possession of a firearm by a felon. Lohse also goes into detail about all his pending charges, giving constitutional explanations as to why the charges are unjust. He also claims police "skewed" the details about the fatal crash to "make it look like it was (his) fault." Lohse goes on to accuse police and other officials of trying to "appease the public" by seeking to put him in jail. Lohse also apologizes to Barras McGrew's family for their loss, but he goes on to tell them they "will not turn around and unjustly convict (him) in a public forum . . . and then say it's okay."
