The lockdown has been lifted for four Iberia Parish schools. The campuses were placed on a precautionary lockdown around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday due to the search for escaped inmate Paul Collins Jr.

Iberia Parish Sheriff's Deputies searched for Collins at an apartment complex off Rogers Street. The suspect was not found, so Johnston Elementary, Hopkins Elementary, Park Elementary and Anderson Middle Schools were taken off the lockdown status before school let out for the day.
