Local VA sergeant named Lead Police Officer of the Year

NEW ORLEANS, La. - A Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System police sergeant in Baton Rouge has been named the Department of Veterans Affairs Lead Police Officer of the Year for a large-sized facility.

This award is given for development of unique or innovative approaches to resolving problems, principled performance of duty and customer satisfaction.

The VA Police Service is comprised of more than 3,500 officers.

Robvais receives this award less than a year after being promoted to lead police officer in February 2011. He began working at the SLVHCS Baton Rouge Community Based Outpatient Clinic in December 2007.

Robvais is a native of Baton Rouge and a graduate from Louisiana State University.
