Local organizations work together to the benefit of all

Thanks to the good will of the Lafayette Johnston Street location of Albertson's of Acadiana, there will be a great Halloween party at Erath High School this year. Recently, at the request of Warren Perrin, director of the Acadian Museum, Albertson's agreed to donate dozens of boxes of Halloween decorations and other items to the museum which intended to use the merchandise for one of its fundraisers. At this point, the Erath Fourth of July Association, spear-headed by Leslie Mencacci of Erath, generously stepped in and offered to buy all of the boxes from the museum, providing a bonanza for the museum. The association then donated the merchandise to the Erath High School Project Graduation Committee which will now have a great Halloween party for the children of the Erath community. Amanda Domingue, Chairperson of Project Graduation thanks the Erath 4th of July Association and invites all children to the Halloween Bash at Erath High School Stadium, Saturday, October 31st from 6 pm to 10 pm.
