Local Fireman Laid to Rest

A local firefighter was laid to rest Thursday.
The funeral services for 53-year-old Ronald Spencer began at Fletcher's Funeral Home in New Iberia at 10:00am.
Fire officials, police officers, friends and family met this morning to drive together, taking Spencer to the West End Bibleway Christian Fellowship Church.
He was killed in a head-on collision on Highway 90 in Broussard on December 26th when another driver crossed a median and caused the accident.
The fireman was with the fire department for 21 years and was chief from 2000 to 2001.
