LMOGA President Chris John is pleased with the findings of the State Review of Oil and Natural Gas Environmental Regulations (STRONGER) report on Louisiana's Hydraulic Fracturing Regulations. "The review team clearly recognized the strength of the Office of Conservation's regulations and the actions of the agency and industry to minimize the impact of these operations.
Of particular note is the action taken to reduce the use of underground drinking water for fracturing operations by 78%, " said LMOGA President Chris John. John added, "LMOGA has supported the agencies' efforts to provide alternative sources of fracturing fluids, and LMOGA will support the agencies' efforts to implement the recommendations in the report." LMOGA's Director of Environmental Affairs Richard Metcalf was a member of the review team.
