Livingston Parish Child Drowns in Pool

MAUREPAS, La. (AP) - Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies say a
4-year-old Maurepas (MOH'-run-pah) child drowned in a swimming
pool.
Deputies said that Kyle Farris was found
unresponsive in the family pool shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Authorities say the child apparently went outside without his
parents' knowledge, climbed the ladder to the above-ground pool and
either climbed or fell into the pool.
