Livingston deputies investigate child's death

WATSON, La. (AP) - Livingston Parish sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a 6-year-old child in Watson.

Sheriff's office spokeswoman Lori Steele tells The Advocate deputies found the child's body at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Lakes at Belle Terre subdivision.

Steele says deputies are still trying to determine the exact cause of the child's death but said they believe an unidentified vehicle found nearby was involved in the death.

She says the identity of the child is still being determined.

Steele also did not specify where the child was found in the subdivision.
