Lincoln Parish seeks new highway superintendent

RUSTON, La. (AP) - Parish Administrator Courtney Hall says highway superintendent Jeff Frasier will retire at the end of March, after 30 years on the job.
The Ruston Leader (http://bit.ly/yhI87c) reports that Hall told the Lincoln Parish Police Jury Personnel/Benefits Committee last week that three candidates will be chosen from all those who apply by March 12.
Hall also said the starting salary should be increased from $43,450 to $50,100 to attract more qualified candidates. He says the higher figure is more in line with comparable positions in neighboring parishes.
