Life sentence in 2006 killing

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) A man convicted in Shreveport last month in a 2006 killing has been sentenced to life in prison.

A Caddo Parish jury convicted 22-year-old Thomas Payne Horn of second-degree murder in the death of Troy Killough of Shreveport. Killough was kidnapped, beaten and shot twice in the head following a confrontation with three Shreveporters and an Elm Grove man at a house party in December 2006.

Caddo District Judge Leon Emanuel handed down Horn's mandatory sentence of life in prison Tuesday. Accordring to The Times of Shreveport, three others have pleaded guilty to related charges in the case, with sentences ranging from 13 to 20 years.
