Accomplished healthcare executive and registered nurse Karen Wyble has been named regional vice president of operations at LHC Group, a national provider of post-acute care services.
In her new role, Wyble will work with hospitals around the country to facilitate partnerships for home health and hospice care.
Wyble has more than 20 years of healthcare experience. She most recently served as chief operating officer for the Heart Hospital of Lafayette and vice president of cardiovascular for Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. She previously served as assistant vice president of nursing at Lafayette General Medical Center.
"Karen is a proven leader who understands the challenges and opportunities facing healthcare providers nationwide," said Keith G. Myers, LHC Group's chairman and CEO. "We're excited to welcome her to our LHC Group family as we work to deliver high-quality health care to our thousands of patients across the country."
Wyble holds master's degrees in business administration and healthcare administration from the University of St. Francis. She earned an associate's degree in nursing from Louisiana State University and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Loyola University. She is an alumnus certified critical care nurse.
She is a member of the Louisiana State Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Wyble has been the recipient of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses' excellence in management award and was named one of Acadiana's most influential leaders by the readers of the Times of Acadiana.
